✶ imeeji: memory
Apr. 9th, 2021 03:35 am➤ Part 1 | Part 2
Where in the world are you, brother? If you die on me, I will never let you hear the end of it.
A Sisterly Act
Summary
✶ The arrival of a messenger at the Rising Stones gives an anxious, aggrieved Alisaie a welcome respite from standing around wondering where Alphinaud has gotten to and why he won't answer her calls. The messenger's report that he wishes to call her to a meeting to discuss the Ascians and the whereabouts of the body of Zenos yae Galvus is a welcome distraction. Declaring that nodding through a meeting is better than nothing at all, she enlists the assistance of the Warrior of Light and prepared to head out.
✶ Before they can leave for Ala Mhigo, they are stopped by a man called Riol. He reports that Thancred, a mutual friend, will also be in the city with important information to share from a scouting expedition into Garlean territory.
[SUMMARY OF THIS:
[TL;DR Alphinaud has gone missing on a mission into Garlemald which Alisaie was not 100% convinced was a great idea to begin with, and all anyone knows as of the end of the memory was that the ship that was carrying him crashed in a dead land known as 'The Burn', but that there is no sign of any bodies, suggesting that Alphinaud and the ship's crew may have managed to escape. I'll write this up tomorrow, I promise.]
Notes
✶ The player-character Warrior of Light, who accompanies Alisaie, is seen as a humanoid shape made up of blinding white light surrounded by a rainbow corona, of indeterminate age, race and gender. None of their individual features are discernible, and though they can be seen to be speaking their voice cannot be made out.
✶ Though character names are used in the summary for the sake of comprehension, any viewers watching the memory will find most names remain inaudible. All references to the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, the Garlean Empire, and Ala Mhigo and the Resistance, however, can now be heard clearly.
